Teach Kids
how to Use their Bible

Two Great Games
for
Teaching Kids about the
BOOKS
in the BIBLE, while having FUN!!
*********************************
"Book by Book"

There are 66 cards in the game,
one for
each of the books in the Bible.

Suggested game variations include:

  1. Challenge the kids to arrange the shuffled cards in the order in which the books appear in the Bible.

  2. Same as 1, except divide the kids into teams and time them. The fastest time is the winning team.

  3. Pick a card, say the Book name and the kids have to tell if the Book is in the "Old" or "New" Testament.

  4. Pick a card, say the Book name and have the kids race to see who can find the Book in their Bible.

  5. Same as 4, except the kids have to tell a fact about the Book (ex. who wrote it or name a person, event or geography associated with the Book).

  6. Pick a few cards where the Book contains a story. Have the one kid act out events or character and the others try to guess the name of the Book

  7.  Use the cards similar to "Flash Cards", so the kids get used to saying the names of the Books.

  8. Pick a card, say the Book name and use have the kids spell the Book name (like a spelling Bee).

Using More that one copy of the cards:.

   1. Divide into two teams and race to see who can put the cards in the
order they appear in the Bible.
   2.  Play as a "MATCH" game.

"Bible Book"
Bingo Type Game

Included in the game package:

Ten (10) Game Boards, which have the name of a Book in the
Bible in each of the 25 squares (like a bingo card).

Sixty-six (66) playing cards, one for each Book in the Bible.

To play the game:

Select a person to be the "caller" (which could be the leader).

Each player is given a playing card
(if there are more than 10 players, they can work as teams).

The "caller" shuffles the 66 playing cards.

The "caller" picks a card and reads the name of the
Bible Book on the card.

The player or team covers the square if the Book is on their Game Board (M&M’s make good markers, a treat after the game).

The first player or team to cover a row, column, diagonal or all squares (whichever is determined at the start of the game) is the winner.
